Innocence: Five sentence Fiction

The baby's laughter filled the air, sounds of innocence.

Unkown to her surrounding, dumped she was outside a garbage truck.

The sweeper had had a terrible morning, another fight with her in laws over her infertility.

Finding the little girl in the garbage bin had been shocking to say the least.

She bundled up the baby in her arms, maybe it was God's gift to her childless marriage.

  8. Definitely QUITE POIGNANT
On one hand you've got a mother who's thought so little of the life she had given birth to, she treated it like worthless garbage.
On the other hand you've got a woman, who couldn't conceive a child, finding a newborn baby she's totally willing to accept it as her own without batting an eye.
    EXCELLENT ! ! ! :-) :-) :-)

  18. How wonderful to share such a hope-filled story. I could just imagine how ambivalent the sweeper must have felt. She must have been shocked and horrified for the little baby, while being hopeful that this baby was the answer to her prayers. What a lovely post.

    God bless you,
    Cheryl
