Secrets and Silence

I am silent today
Holding in all the things together.

If I were to tell you,
Would it scatter apart?

For it's so much easier,
When there isn't a secret keeper.

Yet, I find myself bubbling,
A world stays in me.

Unknown to the rest,
In the folds of my being.

A volcano of thoughts,
Building up slowly, but surely.

Shall it erupt? Shall it flow?
Traveling towards the vast blue sky.

At times I'm afraid it shall burst,
Spilling those words I dare say not.

Yet I am silent today.
Perhaps my words shall find their way.

****

Pondering late last night, brought out quite some many questions, I absolutely had to jot it down.

How do you deal with secrets?

  2. Secrets and silence go hand in hand.. And dealing with secrets can be difficult.. Yet one has to find answers in her own silence.. :)

  13. That is such an evocative poem, especially the final few lines.
By the way, I noticed your tagline for the first time: "Random thoughts on things that matter. Or don't." Gotta say, I love that. :D

    1. Haha thanks Priya, you know one of those moments where I couldn't decide what I shall write about. Hence the inspiration for that tagline!

  14. How to deal with secrets?
Give them the gift of silence, one day after another.

  15. Curious way of describing your secrets! I handle secrets the same way. Even though it feels like slipping away sometimes, but I get hold of it on the right moment. Keep writing, not that it needs saying. :)
